About Voshod Group of Companies
Voshod Group of Companies consists of three enterprises: Voshod-Oriel LLP (mine development), Voshod Chrom (concentrating factory), and Voshod Trading (sales and logistics). The group is a part of the Yildirim Group holding which occupies a central position in the world in the extraction and production of chromium. Mining, enrichment and transport equipment has an important place in the activities of the company, which in turn requires modern accounting.
Business challenge
Before the implementation project, equipment accounting was kept in independent workstations based on Microsoft Office (each of the supervisors has their own running time), as well as on the paper. Thus, there was no holistic accounting system or unified analytics, accounting was carried out in different areas according to separate methods. All this did not facilitate operational analysis and control. In this regard, the company management decided to launch the implementation project for equipment and repair accounting system.
Solution description
When choosing a configuration, the main factors were the requirements for opportunities of:
- Analysis, planning and flexible enterprise resource management to improve the competitiveness
- Ensuring transparency of productive assets, improving the efficiency of daily work by departments action lines
- Maintaining records of all normative and technical documentation
- Creating preventive maintenance schedules
- Creating repair activity orders and accounting of repair activity
That is why the choice turned to 1C:Maintenance & Repair software product. Among other things, it was necessary to integrate the accounting system into 1C:Accounting for Kazakhstan compliance accounting system.
Project goals
The priority tasks of automation were as follows:
- Automating the equipment and repair accounting processes, as well as their planning
- Integrating with 1C:Accounting for Kazakhstan system
- Receiving analytical reports in the accounting system
- Training specialists
Project results
After the implementation of 1C:Maintenance & Repair software product, the possibilities for analysis, planning and flexible management of company resources have been expanded. Only five users of the accounting system effectively manage 213 equipment units, ensuring the full transparency of operations.
At the moment, the unified configuration is being successfully maintained by the joint forces of the Voshod Group of Companies Information Technology Department and 1C-Rating.
